Thaifex Anuga Asia is a big B2B trade fair for F&B in Asia that happens every year in March or April in Bangkok, Thailand. This is the basis for the Biotrade Project, which is putting together booths with the help of businesses in the natural ingredients sector that make products according to sustainable standards in Vietnam (8 businesses). The industry association is also involved, as are businesses in Myanmar (5 businesses and 2 industry associations) and Cambodia (7 businesses and 1 industry association). The idea is to help businesses introduce and promote their products to B2B buyers in major Asian markets, which should open up more opportunities to access potential high-growth markets for sustainable products.
The regional Biotrade project phase 2 is funded by The Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and co-implemented by Helvetas and the Center for Rural Economy Development (CRED)
